Established in 1971 in Trezzano sul Naviglio, in the south-west suburbs of Milan, Abrasivi Industriali is one of the few full-cycle Italian manufacturers of abrasive paper. The production is made in a modern plant covering 10.000 sqm with four makers. All the operations, including the additional ones, are made inside, allowing the control of the whole process, from the raw materials to finished products. In the production phase, specific instruments assure the consistency of technical specifications, while the R&D laboratories carry out strict controls both on raw materials and finished products. The computer-aided management of warehouse assure the optimization of stock and supplies. In the first years the production was addressed to other brands, as partially it still happens, in the 1980 was introduced the brand Grinco, to supply the retail market. Nowadays, thanks to the quality and the broadness of the product portfolio, mainly light and medium-weight papers, Abrasivi Industriali exports the 50% of its production.

In 1985 the company was bought from Nastroflex, a company leader in Italy in the conversion of coated abrasives, and in the summer 2005 the two companies merge: Abrasivi Industriali became a division of Nastroflex. Some years before Nastroflex bought the Swedish company Naxoflex, an abrasive manufacturer specialized on cloth and heavy-weight papers, creating an international group active both in manufacturing and in conversion of coated abrasives. The experience in manufacturing of technical products for industry, the refining of production technology, the international dimensions, have allowed Abrasivi Industriali the set up of a product range fully satisfying the requirements of different market sectors where the abrasive papers are used. In terms of performance, shapes, grit range, but mainly for quality, such a papers correspond to the needs of paint and hardware shops, body shops, furniture industry, DIY.
